La mer pour horizon : Dinard, célèbre station balnéaire de France, et les îles Lofoten en Norvège.

Dinartica’s welcoming cities

Dinard (France)

Dinard (France)Beautiful seaside resort, with its marvellous beaches, its walks alongside the coast, its sumptuous villas, its gardens where grows a Mediterranean vegetation.

DINARD has kept the “Belle Epoque” resort charming atmosphere and will make you enjoy it. Particularly appreciated by the Anglo-Saxons, DINARD became during the 19th century the most important French seaside resort and still is one of the most famous European one.

It is a particularly  young, dynamic and sportive city. This is why Mr Marius MALLET, mayor of DINARD, is highly involved in this untypical race which will be one of the main event of this summer season. Svolvaer Lofoten Islands (Norway)

The poet Bjornstjerne Bjornson, who had travelled worldwide, was one the first to incense the Lofoten Islands as a great holyday destination. In the Lofoten he saw “ mirages of mountains coming out of the sea, surrounded by whales playing, and was listening to the mysterious scream of seabirds”.

Times have changed and the number of tourists has been multiplied since the poet visited the Islands in 1869.

Fishermen’s cabins, which were used during the great winter fishery, have been adapted to the modern life comfort standard and are very appreciated by the foreign tourists.
