He was born March 4th 1958 (47 years old)
He lives in Guadeloupe.

In 1980, he lives Saint Malo for his first transat, heading for the Antilles, and start his career as professional skipper. Convoying or transferring boats, Luc is sailing all the time and develop a strong experience. Between 1984 and 1986, he goes back to Britain and monitors for “Jeunesse et Marine”, a French sailing school. He then went back to the Antilles. In 1987, he ran the Mini-transat with a Serpentaire and the 1989 edition with a Coco.

In 1990, he officers young Guadeloupean fischermen on a multi-hull. He participates to the Tour de France in 1991 and 1992, skipping the “Morbihan Jeunesse et Marine” boat.
On the “Guadeloupe Challenge” One Design, he runs with a young Guadeloupean crew, “La transat des passionnés” in 1993, and the Tour de France in 1994.

In the island of Martinique, he starts the Top 50 project. While participating to the boat’s contruction, Luc continues to skip, transfer and convoy every kind of boats.
Since 1997, he has run many races on the TOP 50 boat.

The time passing, his honour list is getting longer: in 1998 he ranked 1rst at the Transat des Alizés, 2nd at the Route du Rhum, he won the Transcaraïbes in 1999, 2000 and 2001, finished 4th of the Quebec-Saint Malo in 2000 and 1st of the ARC the same year.

In 2001, Luc runs in many national and international competitions: he once again won the Transcaraïbes, has good results in the Heineken Regatta, the Antigua’s week…and is selected as guiding boat for the 6,50 Transat (Charente Maritime- Bahia in Brazil).

In 2002, he has a full season of regattas (Heineken regatta, Guadeloupe Race, Edhec, Antigua’s week…) and prepares his boat for the Route du Rhum. He will finish 2nd in the Class 2 category.
